MIT Forum’s Research in Supply Chain and Data Science Transform Industry
The MIT Forum is a community composed of academics and industry members whose support allows the center to pursue research, enabling breakthroughs in customer-focused solutions across industry, using data science techniques to design and manage the new supply chain, expose and mitigate risk and develop algorithms to increase revenue across multiple industries. The Forum has pioneered a deeper understanding of risk, supply chain and data science and its relationship to corporate strategy and profitability, and has broad support from a wide cross-section of industry.
In June 2012, the Forum launched the Technology Advisory Board in response to Forum sponsors’ requests for data science and technology-transformation guidance. The board consists of MIT academic and research leaders, with major technology providers and industry leaders collaborating on key issues around manufacturing, supply chain, retail, insurance and risk.
