The MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation is a partnership between industry and MIT faculty, staff and students.

At its core, the Forum is a leader in innovative research and the application of research findings to the challenges arising in the new supply chain.

The rigorous approach used by MIT Forum guides businesses through the latest innovations in supply chain management, technology and implementation techniques. These issues can be strategic in nature but, perhaps more importantly, can be targeted at specific tactical issues faced by companies.

Members of the supply chain community have the flexibility and opportunity to participate in both industry–wide research into the supply chain as well as initiating their own specific research project. Supporter funded specific research is increasingly requested. In these research projects, supporters work closely with MIT faculty and staff, focusing on an issue they need to solve. In taking this guide from supporters (customer–driven research), MIT is able to focus its world class resources on solutions that drive real business benefit and provide results that supporters really want and need.
